George Clarke tries to unlock the potential of homes with history and make them fit for the future. In Margate, George meets Joanna and Simon who, having ditched their pokey London flat to bag themselves a monster Victorian semi, are now overwhelmed by the refurb task ahead.
In Worthing, he visits a Georgian manor built in 1820 and frequented by King Edward VII. Although it's grand on the outside, the property was subdivided into flat in the 1980s. Having recently moved into one of these flats, Charlie and Julie are wrestling with how to turn a beautiful big Regency reception room into contemporary living/dining space. (2019)
